Hello, dear ones. The fog of the past week seems to have lifted, with the Queen of Swords Upright leading the charge to clarity, intellect, and independence. The Queens are some of my favorites in Tarot. The strength and softness of today’s Queen draws me in and makes me linger on the imagery. She sits proudly on her throne with a gold crown on her head, a sword by her side, and flowers at her feet. With her wing outstretched, the Queen beckons us to join her on our terms. A crow flies freely in the skies above, and a cherry tree bourgeons with life.

To boost your mental clarity and focus, reach for Lavender and Eucalyptus. Amethyst aids wisdom and intuition, whereas selenite is known for mental clarity and purification. Blue Lace Agate soothes the soul, allowing clear communication and calmness.

Friends, I cannot help but laugh at the fact I pulled yesterday’s card, The Moon, in reverse today. When writing my summary yesterday, I started to use Yin and Yang as an allegory to explain that there is a give and take in the universe; however, it didn’t quite fit. My intuition told me to wait, and I am glad I did.

Yang represents light, clarity, action, and the conscious mind. It’s a day of clear understanding, direct action, and a strong connection to external, visible energies. Yesterday’s card was in a Yang position, Upright.

Today’s card represents the Yin aspect, Reversed. Yin embodies the qualities of darkness, mystery, intuition, and the subconscious. It’s a day of introspection, inner exploration, and a deeper connection to hidden, unseen energies.

The Moon Reversed signifies a transition from uncertainty to enlightenment by overcoming confusion or deception and grants a better understanding of your emotions and intuition. There is an idiom that states, “the darkest hour is just before the dawn.” Today, the Moon reflects light onto that which was previously unseen.

Have you ever had a scenario that played out, and in its wake, you felt like you should have seen it coming from a mile away? At that moment, if you had a tarot deck at the ready, you’d most likely have pulled the High Priestess Reversed. This card speaks to blocked intuition, hidden agendas, and a need to listen to one’s inner voice. You may also refuse to look beyond the obvious. Is there a secret in the wing? Is there more to the story? Most likely.

If you have blocked intuition, I recommend reaching for the crystals and essential oils that speak the most to you. Amethyst is known for its calming and intuitive properties. Lapis Lazuli enhances honesty, wisdom, and connection. Moonstone nurtures emotional balance, wisdom, and inner truth.

Clary Sage enhances intuition and clarity while balancing emotions. Sandalwood is excellent for quieting the mind, grounding your body, and connecting with higher consciousness, especially during meditation. Lastly, Frankincense is known for its ability to deepen spiritual connection and enhance meditation, as it helps one access subconscious knowledge and wisdom.

Whether you reach for crystals, essential oils, or both, the theme that has been running since the start of December is to check in with yourself to see if what you see tracks who you are and what you believe. Shakespeare penned it well, “To thine own self be true.”

Clearly, the Knight of Wands had more to say, regardless of my dutiful shuffling of the Cards. The Knight of Wands Reversed tells us to take seriously the warnings of the past few days. This card suggests there is a lack of purpose, impatience, and hasty decisions leading to problems or setbacks.

As you go through your day, remember not to act too quickly without thinking things through. Make sure to plan and consider your decisions. Instant gratification can lead to long-term regrets.

My apologies, dear Tarot enthusiasts, for not posting yesterday. Between technical glitches and feeling under the weather, I pulled a card but did not post. This irony is that the card I pulled, the 4 of Swords upright, was telling us to rest and recover, signifying a time to recuperate from physical and mental exhaustion. So, at a cost to my followers, I took the temporary pause this card guided me to take, and it allowed me to think about the steps needed to create more consistent content for you. I encourage you to take a step back, even if it’s a 5-minute meditation, to heal and find inner peace before moving forward. You’ll find renewed energy and clarity. I did and am the better as a result. Thank you, friends, for your patience as I learn and grow in this new venture.
